Provider

Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Luke 12:24

You and I need to hear this often. In this day and age, it is so easy to doubt God’s provision. In other words, it is so easy to worry about money, food, bills and home needs. When times are tough, it is not always easy to remember and hold on to God’s promise of provision. Luke reminds us that for centuries upon centuries now, God has been consistently feeding the birds of the air. You never see birds worrying about where their next meal is going to come from. God feeds them everyday.

Now we are more valuable than they are. We are made in God’s image. We are his sons and daughters. Of course God will take care of us. He will provide for our needs. It’s time to stop worrying and to start believing God and taking him at his word. It’s time to pray prayers of faith and thanksgiving. It’s time to get full of the word so that our faith and confidence are built up and that we would not waver in the promise of God.

He is my Provider! That’s truth and I’m sticking with it! I will do everything I can to remember that so that when times are tough, I can tap into the rich deposit of God’s word. I pray that you will do the same.
