Check your devotion
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Rom 14:8
New year’s resolutions always work for me. They work for about 3-4 days then I’m back to my old ways. So I don’t make resolutions, but I do take time to think and evaluate my life. I hope you do something similar. Rom 14:8 tells us that we are the Lord’s. Whether we live or die, it is for him, so we would do well to be completely devoted to him.
As we start another year, let us ponder on the fact that we belong to God and let us make the necessary decision that in 2014 we will live as such. Take time to pray a prayer of devotion, giving yourself to God. Tell him that this year will be one lived out for him. Ask for his help.
Remember, we are all devoted to something or someone. Question is, what or who are you devoted to?
