Three blind minds

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Cor 4:4

We learnt that in the Old Testament, the Gospel was still veiled and that in Jesus the veil is taken away and we have full access to God the Father. Anyone can approach God’s throne with boldness. It’s no wonder the devil has a plan and his plan is this: blind people’s minds so that they cannot see or understand the truth about God and his love and grace towards them. If their minds remain blinded they won’t surrender their lives to him and they won’t spend eternity with him either.

This helps us to understand what the Bible teaches in 2 Cor 2:12 that “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us” and again in verse 14, “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit”.

This means that our relatives and friends who do not know Jesus still have their minds blinded by the devil and unless the Holy Spirit of God breaks into their lives and reveals God to them they will not know God. This teaches us that without prayer for the unsaved, we cannot expect them to come to God. Today, pray for three people (blind minds) who you know need Jesus. Pray that their eyes would be opened and that the Holy Spirit would reveal the heart of the Father to them.
