Resurrection power!

18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Eph 1:18-21

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Rom 1:11

Paul’s prayer is this: “God open their eyes, that they may know the hope that you have called them to. And also that they may see the extent of the power you have for them and that it is the same power which raised Jesus from the dead!” Yikes! In the Romans passage he says just as explicitly, “…the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.” Can you imagine what your life would be like if your spiritual eyes were opened to this truth? Can you imagine what sort of confidence and courage you would have in prayer and in practice?

Well, it’s true! Now you and I better believe it. That same power that raised Christ from the dead is living in me! Say it out loud and repeat that again to yourself several times. That same power that raised Christ from the dead is living in me! This being true, what kind of a prayer could you pray to our great and powerful God right now? Go ahead and pray it! This being true, what could you attempt to do today? Go ahead and do it! May the power of God be manifest in your life today!

The Hillsong team puts it so well in song when they say “The same power that conquered the grave lives in me”. Watch the video below and allow God to speak to your heart.
