Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV

Praise God that we are a new creation! This also means that our minds are also renewed. Daily by meditating on God’s word we face every situation with prayer and His word. Negative thoughts, anxiety, worry, fear are cast away as we rejoice and trust in Him knowing that His will is good,pleasing and perfect. This is not easy especially since negative things are going on around us every minute we need to constantly remind ourselves that indeed we are a new creation and that our mind can be renewed. Do not be discouraged when you find yourself slipping to old thought patterns. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and ask Him to help you. Write bible verses down and stick them in places that you frequent often – the dashboard, fridge or kitchen doors, your computer or desk, this will help you memorise the word so it’s always on your mind!

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus thank you that I am a new creation in you. Please help me to meditate on you word daily so that my mind may be renewed. I bring before you any fear and worries now (name them) because I know that you care for me.
